These are uncertain times. One thing that really helps is, not waiting for the world to change, because that’s passive and just encourages anxiety – instead, you can seize the opportunity to learn a new skill. This is a wonderful antidote to worry. Plus you also get to bring beauty to the world.
Two times a year, we teach an online foundation course especially for complete beginners and newcomers.
We call this course Illuminate.

Last time we taught this course (March-April), lockdown was in full force in most places around the world. Our students stayed not just sane but also happy. Here for instance is an angel Janet painted in June, using all the skills she’d learned inside Illuminate.
In case you’re wondering, before Janet took Illuminate, she’d never painted glass before.
But she’d always wanted to.
She took the chance which our course gave her.
The time which she invested with us, last March-April, it absolutely paid off, as you can see.
If you do the work – three to five hours a week – you too can learn to paint stained glass.
